Graduate of Foster Technical continues on to Composites Engineering at UMO
Alex Prentis was part of the first composite class offered at Foster two years ago. Through his work in the class he has become very interested in engineering and composites for a career. He was very involved in building a composite solar vehicle for the Electrathon and was part of a team that became a national record holder for the car they built.

The Advanced Engineered Wood Composites Center at University of Maine, Orono heavily recruited Alex to come to their program. Alex actually started working there in the summer after graduation to gain some great experience. He is now a sophomore in the Composites Engineering program and very involved in the design and testing of composite ballistic panels and a hybrid electric vehicle.
