Certified Composites Program for High School Students - 10/9/2008
Certified Composites Program for High School Students
Dylan Carlton was a student that did not have much of a career focus going into his junior year of high school. According to his family, when Dylan decided to enroll in the Composites Program that all changed and he became much more focused. Dylan was a top student in the program and through the North Star Alliance he received a scholarship to the Landing School in Arundel in their Composites program. He continued his progress as a top student and ended up being the commencement speaker at his Landing School Graduation.

During the program at the Landing School he worked at Hodgdon Yachts and a few other boat builders around the state, gaining great experience. After the program he was highly sought after and had offers in Maine, from Goetz Custom Boats in Rhode Island, and Alaska as well. He decided to go to Alaska to build fishing boats for Black Feather Boats, where he has just finished infusing a 42' vessel. His ultimate goal is to open his own composite skate board manufacturing company in Maine.
